The former Barcelona ace grabbed the opener before Eden Hazard and a late own goal from from Steve Cook helped seal a 3-0 win.
And Pedro, 29, claims tempo and positivity were the most important factors.
“I’m very happy to have scored and help the team but the most important thing was the win,” he told Chelsea’s official website.
“Chelsea winger Pedro scored against Bournemouth yesterday ”
“It’s unbelievable because it’s very difficult to do that in the Premier League but the team are very compact on the pitch and that’s the right way.
“It was very good, all the team played very well with great intensity and a good mentality.
“It was a very important win on Boxing Day for the supporters and we are very happy.”
Chelsea face the Potters later in the week, but Pedro will serve a one-match suspension having picked up a fifth booking of the season.
“It’s difficult because the season is very long, there are a lot of games still to play but at the moment it’s very good for us to be top of the league,” he added.
“Bournemouth are a good team and it was very difficult. Stoke are also a very good team but we must take it game by game.”
