Antonio Rudiger, Roma
The German international was repeatedly linked with Chelsea last season.
But his year was turned upside down after damaging his cruciate knee ligaments in June.
Rudiger’s injury woes put the buffers on any potential Premier League move and it ruled him out of Euro 2016.
But after regaining his fitness, he’s now impressing at Roma.
Rudiger is a versatile player and can be deployed in a back three or at right-back if called upon.
His flexibility means he’d slot seamlessly into Antonio Conte’s preferred defensive trio or Jose Mourinho’s unsettled back four.
“Antonio Rudiger has impressed for Roma this season”
Benoit Costil, Rennes
Possible destinations: Liverpool, Everton
Both Merseyside clubs could be in the market for a new goalkeeper in January.
Loris Karius has failed to establish himself at the Reds and Toffees ace Maarten Stekelenburg has also struggled.
Costil is out of contract at the end of the season and the Ligue 1 club might be temped to cash in rather than risk losing him for nothing.
The experienced star was France’s third choice goalkeeper at Euro 2016 behind Hugo Lloris and Steve Mandanda.
He can still develop – but has already amassed over 200 first-team appearances.
Goncalo Guedes, Benfica
Possible destinations: Arsenal
The Gunners might be tempted to bolster their options out wide in January.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain continues to blow hot and cold for Arsene Wenger.
And Mesut Ozil’s contract saga rumbles on as his form falters.
Guedes has been impressive for the Portuguese giants this season.
He’s bagged two league goals and provided two assists with Benfica cruising at the top of the table.
Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have also scouted him in recent months.
