The versatile defensive player has been on at Bournemouth since the start of the season.
And over the last few weeks he’s been making an impact for the Cherries, scoring three goals and helping Eddie Howe’s side to 10th place in the Premier League.
Speaking to SoccerAM, Ake told Tubes how Chelsea help to improve his development while he’s away with another club.
“They’re just trying to give me other little bits to help me more”
Nathan Ake on Chelsea’s loan department
“We’ve got a loan department,” he said. “We’ve got people like [former Chelsea defenders] Paulo Ferreira and Eddie Newton who work in that department and they send you their clips and things you have to improve.
“So they keep in contact with you, without interfering with Bournemouth they try to help me and make my development better.
“They don’t want to interfere, they show me clips and tell me what they think, but they tell me if the manager [Eddie Howe] tells me another thing then you do that.
“They’re just trying to give me other little bits to help me more.”
Ake will be forced to miss Bournemouth’s next game as his side are going up against his parent club on Boxing Day at Stamford Bridge.
They’ll be hoping to break Chelsea’s 11-game winning streak and will be boosted by the absence of N’Golo Kante and Diego Costa from the Blues squad.
