Kante has played in all 17 matches in the Premier League for Chelsea and has been a vital part of their 11-game winning run.
Babb told Sky Sports: “Again, a great signing, certainly value for money in the summer transfer window.
“Again, he’s another one that’s is annoying in another way, in a different way, yes, we know Costa is up front with centre-halves but he just reads the game so well and his movement, his ability to almost read and intercept the opponent’s next move is worth its weight in gold.
“Part of N’Golo Kante’s game is going to get even better”
Arsenal hero Nigel Winterburn
“I think everyone talked about how crucial he was for Leicester last season, he’s vitally crucial for Chelsea as well.”
Former Gunners full-back Winterburn thinks Kante has the potential to get even better at Stamford Bridge.
He added: “But he’s also had to adapt his game a little as well because of the possession that Chelsea have, you know he’s finding himself in a lot more advanced areas.
“So it’s not all about just winning the ball back in front of his back four, now he’s finding himself on the edge of the box so he’s having to work to be creative.
“He’s having to try and score goals, get shots sway, create things for players and that part of his game is going to get even better the more that he stays in this Chelsea team.”
Chelsea face Bournemouth on Boxing Day as they look to make it 12 wins on the bounce.
Antonio Conte’s side are currently seven points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table.
