Chelsea have every reason to be bouncing right now. They secured their 10th straight win on Wednesday night, beating Sunderland 1-0 at the Stadium of Light, and kept yet another clean sheet.
It did take a remarkable save from Thibaut Courtois to keep the Blues’ 3-4-3 run unblemished, but it was an undoubtedly deserved win, and the team is in high spirits ahead of their clash with Crystal Palace on the weekend.
The team flight back to London must have been quite the bore, but Diego Costa tried keeping things lively while they made their way home.
The striker, who has been in top form, despite not getting on the score-sheet against Sunderland, decided to hang something repulsive in front of the face of Chelsea’s 34-year-old third-choice goalkeeper Eduardo Carvalho while he slept.
The Portuguese woke up to a weird object (possibly a stretched-out piece of chewing gum) dangling in front of his face, while Costa grinned like a kid at his back.
