Chelsea are preparing a January move for Hoffenheim defender Niklas Sule.

Sule’s father confirmed Chelsea made an attempt for the Germany international last summer.

And the centre-half spoke just this week of wanting to play in the Premier League.

It’s emerged Chelsea are now ready to try again and plan to offer €30 million for the defender next month.

The plan is to sign Sule before January 1 and loan him back to Hoffenheim for the remainder of the season. Interest from Liverpool and Arsenal has forced Chelsea to bring forward their plans.
