Chelsea manager Antonio Conte certainly does not have his eyes cast on the current Premier League table.

The Blues went six points clear on the rest of the competition courtesy of Wednesday night’s narrow 1-0 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

However, Conte is aware that there is plenty of football to be played and expects a tight title race, presumably with the likes of Liverpool (2nd), Arsenal (3rd), Manchester City (4th), Tottenham Hotspur (5th) and Manchester United (6th).

“I prefer not to look at the table, for me and my players,” he said.

“We are doing something important up to now, but the league didn’t finish today. We are on top of the table but there are still three games before the end of the first part of the season.

“This league is very tough and until the end it will be a great battle between six teams.”
