Antonio Conte has told Chelsea what they must do as they chase Premier League glory

The Blues guaranteed they’ll be top of the table at Christmas by beating David Moyes’ Sunderland 1-0.

And the victory continues their remarkable turnaround from last season.

Chelsea ended the 2015/16 campaign in 10th position following a stunning fall from grace.

“We have to continue in this league because anything can happen.”

Antonio Conte has moved to ensure his Chelsea squad do not let complacency creep in

But they now look on course to regain the title which they won under Jose Mourinho 18 months ago.

Conte is keen to ensure his Stamford Bridge stars do not become complacent though.

And he’s warned them they must carry on performing in order to taste success once again.

Speaking after the Stadium of Light showdown, Conte said: “If I imagine this situation at Christmas – I must be honest – I tell you no, after two bad defeats against Liverpool and Arsenal.

“Then we changed it. We found the right solution, a new system, we are working a lot and very well. I’m pleased for the players, because the players deserve this after a bad season last year.

“We have to continue in this league because anything can happen.”

Chelsea return to top flight action when they visit London rivals Crystal Palace on Saturday.
