Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp believes Chelsea could still hit a bump in the road this season once manager Antonio Conte is forced to do without star men Eden Hazard and Diego Costa.
The Italian maestro has guided the Blues to a nine-match winning run in the Premier League and could go six points clear at the summit on Wednesday night.
Both sides make trips to the north-east on Wednesday as Liverpool face Middlesbrough at The Riverside, while Chelsea are visitors to Sunderland’s Stadium of Light.
Conte has used the same starting XI in all but one of Chelsea’s last nine Premier League games and has been able to secure victories in each game.
But Klopp believes Chelsea’s strong run of results could end when the Italian encounters his own problems with squad selection.
“We have to sort it out now, players will come back, another will leave, we will see how another one develops and take our decisions,” said Klopp.
“We take what we get. The difference is, we have had our injury problems already. Other teams will get them because no one will go through [the entire season] without problems. I cannot change it, so I am not worried about it.
“None of these players – Lallana, Firmino, Mane – have played all the time, by the way. They have all had their breaks.
“Chelsea plays with the same team all the time and you don’t ask them if they are worried.
“Hazard and Costa – they play 90 minutes in every game. We cannot change it, so we do not worry.”
