Cesc Fabregas is a January target for Roma

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is Roma’s first choice January transfer target, according to reports.

Italian publication Il Tempo says Roma are ready to offer the 29-year-old an escape route from Stamford Bridge.

Their report says Fabregas is tired of being used as a reserve player behind Nemanja Matic and N’Golo Kante.

Matteo Darmian says he will not be leaving Manchester United in January.

The Italian defender has started re-established under Jose Mourinho in recent weeks as a replacement for Luke Shaw at left-back.

And despite rumours he could be on his way out, Darmian says his focus remains at Old Trafford.

Jurgen Klopp has hinted Liverpool are in the market for an attacker

Jurgen Klopp has hinted Liverpool could do some January transfer business.

Although despite having a leaky defence, the German manager seemed to imply he’s more tempted to add to his attacking options.

“The winter transfer market is the most difficult. We are always looking,” he said.

“If you watch our bench, very experienced in defence and not offence. If the situation stays like this it is clear we have open eyes.”
