Harry Redknapp says it will be a wide-open Premier League title race

Redknapp believed Manchester United and Manchester City were the ones to beat at the start of the season.

But both have had poor starts to the campaign and are well off the pace behind top-of-the-table Chelsea.

Antonio Conte’s Blues are three points clear of Arsenal in second and Redknapp thinks it will be a wide-open chase for the league title.

Harry Redknapp on the Premier League title race

“The two Manchester clubs at the start of the year were probably favourites,” he said on BT Sport.

“You look at Man City and United with Pogba coming in and Mourinho there.

“But at the moment they’re probably the two outsiders out of the top six.

Harry Redknapp says Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham are now competing for the league

“Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool look more likely than the two Manchester clubs.

“I came the other week and watched Chelsea against Tottenham and for 40 minutes Tottenham completely outplayed them, could have been two or three goals in front.

“It’s wide open, which is great. It’s going to be exciting, no one is going to run away with this.”
