That is according to The Sun, who claim Juve have lined up Matic as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba should he leave for Manchester United.

The Red Devils have been linked with a world-record move worth around £100million to bring the France international back to Old Trafford.

And Pogba’s exit could see Juve accelerate their interest in Matic, who is reportedly deemed surplus to requirements by new boss Antonio Conte.

The arrival of fellow combative midfielder N’Golo Kante from Leicester yesterday has thrown Matic’s future in doubt after a poor campaign last term.

Chelsea are reportedly willing to listen to offers of £15m for the Serbia international, despite spending £21m on him from Benfica just two years ago.

United boss Jose Mourinho was initially interested in bringing Matic with him to Old Trafford, but focused his attention on Pogba after discovering they had a chance of re-signing him.
