Chelsea are at their pre-season training camp in Austria this week, and in their first friendly under Conte on Saturday they lost 2-0 to Rapid Vienna – after only three days working with their new coach.
Conte is still without most of his stars who played at Euro 2016, though he did receive a boost yesterday when new £33million Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi cut short his holiday to join up with the squad.
Emenalo said: “The only thing that is difficult for Antonio is that he’s just come from working with players who understood his methods and it was probably easy.
“Coming from that and going into a completely different new arena to try to introduce your methods again is a little bit disconcerting.
“But he is an experienced manager and understood that. We all know that it will take time.
“We have a mix of players at different stages of their physical development in terms of pre-season. In a couple of weeks we should be ready.”
Chelsea at the weekend made their second signing of the summer as France midfielder N’Golo Kante joined from Leicester in a £30m deal. They are also still in talks with Napoli over centre back Kalidou Koulibaly.
Conte’s team play their second pre-season game tomorrow night when they face WAC RZ Pelletts in Klagenfurt.
