Arsenal look set to lose out on N’Golo Kante, who will reportedly undergo a medical at London rivals Chelsea within the next 48 hours.

French broadcaster RMC claim the Leicester midfielder has agreed a five-year contract at Chelsea and that the £30million deal could be wrapped up before the end of the weekend.

The Foxes signed the France international for just £5.6m last summer and have offered him a bumper £100,000-a-week contract in a bid to keep him, but he has set his sights on a Stamford Bridge switch.

Meanwhile, Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim the Gunners are looking to battle West Ham in the race to sign AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca.

Hammers manager Slaven Bilic has made no secret of his desire to sign a new forward this summer, with reports suggesting the club could break their transfer record with a £26m bid for the Colombian.

However, Arsene Wenger’s side are likely to come out on top in their pursuit after the 29-year-old recently revealed his desire to play in the Champions League.

And finally, Arsenal have been dealt a blow in their pursuit to sign Wolfsburg’s Julian Draxler after the Bundesliga club revealed the £52m-rated  winger is going nowhere this summer.

Wolfsburg director of sport Klaus Allofs told German outlet Sport 1: “With Draxler it will be 100% like that. He will stay at VfL. There is no discussion.

“It is not the time for any vow, but we will not sell Julian. Our plans are clear.”
