Chelsea’s latest signing Michy Batshuayi has been fined £330 after he was identified as the driver of a £180,000 sports car which was parked under a tree in Ibiza, according to The Sun.
Officers had a tow truck remove the car form a park on the island, while locals looked on in amazement. Batshuayi had left the Lamborghini under said tree to keep it in the shade.
Periodico de Ibiza, a local paper, reported that the £33m striker retrieved the car from a local council-run pound on Monday afternoon. He was made to pay £330 to cover the fine and cost of the tow truck.
It took a specialist crane to do the job, as the Lamborghini Huracan, which boasts a top speed of 202mph and can do 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds, could not fit on a regular tow truck.
A source told the local press that the vehicle was a rental, and had been taken under the striker’s brother’s name.
